I guess I'll make the longer trip to the theater that actually shows it

How's it for a guy who doesn't really like Chinese movies at all (no offense)? I know I am being foolish here but I am a lil skeptic about Bale's impression on me that I don't want to change (I felt a lil awkward about his role watching the trailers).

I guess it depends on what you don't like specifically with Chinese movies. There's quite a bit of Hollywood elements in the movie so I don't think you will necessarily hate it. I don't think it will negatively change your impression on Bale. He was really, really good. With the exception of the Dicky-ish behavior in the beginning, you'll see him do stuff that he hasn't done in quite a while.
