Blomkamp said the film would be very violent, so I'd say an R rating is a sure bet.

I know this is unlikely but I hope Sharlto Copley is the main character or at least co-lead. I thought he was soo good in District 9.
Same. If he's in it for like 5 minutes I will rage.allstarr55js wrote:I know this is unlikely but I hope Sharlto Copley is the main character or at least co-lead. I thought he was soo good in District 9.
From what I heard Neill is going to keep it low budget again like around $60 million I believeMrG wrote:I wonder if Blomkamp's gonna use an actual budget this time. The $30 million for District 9 was so puny. But after what he did with that puny budget, I wouldn't be complaining if he does it again.
Yeah it better not be some crappy cameo appearance, but here's a thought: maybe he is the villain this time aroundchee wrote:Same. If Damon is in the film im sure he will be the lead but i hope Copley has a large part or atleast a nice supporting role.
Matt Day-Mun has done plenty of supporting roles.IWatchFilmsNotMovies wrote:If Damon is in the film im sure he will be the lead but i hope Copley has a large part or atleast a nice supporting role.
What's so impressive about District 9 is that it grossed 210 million $ worldwide with a 30 million $ budget. For a science fiction film, the 7:1 ratio is goddamn impressive!

If District 9 is any indication, there won't be a ton of well known actors in the movie. So if someone like Damon is involved, it's a safe bet he's gonna be the lead IMO.allstarr55js wrote: Matt Day-Mun has done plenty of supporting roles.
My homies Blomkamp/Copley representing South Africa. Concept is always interesting if done right. Can't fuckin' wait for this!!!
