Why is that the question?

The answer is probably Emilia Clarke.

Final part is out, this one is much longer (hour and ten minutes), enjoy!

Fantastic work by Lindsay, as always.
Yeah all she had to do was to throw her 'Death of the Author' video and her Stepheny Meyer apology video in the trash because, while Lindsay thinks Meyers doesn't deserve online toxicity and hatred, it's seemingly ok if D&D are on the receiving end of the latter.

Lindsay thinking that Jon Snow didn't really react to the revelation of his parentage seems to indicate that Lindsay doesn't really pay much attention to the show she was watching because Jon literally handwaves Jaime Lannister fighting for them at the beginning of episode 2 because he clearly has other things on his mind and avoids Dany throughout the episode and spends the entire time in the crypts in front of the statue of his dead mother....but I guess it's not a real reaction though...

Second-hand r/freefolk buffoonery is what this video seems to be and it rehashes a lot of their most superficial criticisms of the show and that it comes from Lindsay Ellis of all people makes it just more disappointing.

Have you seen it, the whole thing? Just be honest.

She seems quite relaxed in her own household, talking in-detail for an hour about a lot of the things that bothered her about season 08. That’s called legit criticism, not so much a ‘buffoonery’. She’s allowed to say whatever she wants, and with her cred people are listening and this video is already making round on the net, being quoted as just one of many examples of people being downright disappointed in the whole situation, from fans to media, to actors themselves.

Edit: I see you edited-in that Jon comment so I cannot call you out on skimming through in rage lol; that’s fine.

Video has now generated more than 1 million views in just one day, there’s still quite a lot of interest in the whole fiasco it seems.

"Sometimes you got some feelings that you have to monetize on." She's allowed to miss important details all she likes, for sure. The video is mostly just a rehash of the most common superficial criticisms of the show delivered in a way that sadly leaves a lot of details that counter the arguments by the wayside, which does not make for a very convincing analysis overall.

She paints over so many details of all the characters she analyses, mainly because she wants to get her frustration out, so often that I found myself pausing the video every couple of seconds just because the foundation of the video (which is that the characters don't make sense no more) crumbled the second I thought back on what happened to the characters on the show in earlier seasons. The funniest part of the video is where Lindsay talks about how Varys knows what a great leader Dany is as Lindsay literally uses footage of Dany overlooking Meereen like Cobra Commander with the big Targaryen flag behind her. Also, props for ignoring all the elements that led to Dany's fatal decision in the second-to-last episode just by saying 'those things (Jon Snow's parentage and its consequences on their relationship + her claim and hence her own self-image, the loss of advisers she respected and her losing respect for advisers she once thought were worth listening to, the general ignorance/distrust from the Westerosi population) did not exist on this show'...except all the times all of these things were shown on the show.

Also love how she displays knowledge of the books but completely ignores most of it when it might offer insight into why the show took the turns it did (for example as regards the lore of the Faceless Men when it comes to the 'Arya gets to kill the Night King' discussion).

In the end, her video is a superficial reading that reflects what people who overlook, or don't pay too much attention to, details think about the ending of the show.

FYI big book spoilers for those who've only watched the show in her video. I have a lot of friends planning to read the books who are unspoiled and would be pissed to have her randomly drop that stuff 20 minutes in.
