The show has not mentioned any of this though, yet they got the ideas Rheon mentioned across to the audience anyway.

What's your source regarding this? AFAIK, the Boltons have been flaying people right from the beginning, even before their war with the Starks. It is true that they have flayed atleast a few Starks and are rumoured to keep their skins in a secret chamber in the Dreadfort, but nowhere have I read that the Boltons started flaying because of the Starks' skinchanging ability. It's a nice theory though, I'll give you that.

I'm sick with bronchitis so I'm going to rewatch as much of Season 6 as I can before Episode 9 in prep. I'm having a screening party tomorrow night and the week after for the finale, should be fun stuff. I haven't had a screening party since LOST.

The Red Kings' rivalry with the Kings of Winter per The World of Ice and Fire. Separate from that, there are plenty of redditors with crazy blood magic and Bolt-On theories.

Most of the stuff in that book is by Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson so I wouldn't say it counts in terms of content of ASOIAF because I don't know what Martin contributed to that book. I also generally don't particularly care for their contributions to the ASOIAF fandom because of the way they comport themselves online vis-à-vis people critical of Martin as a writer and his book series (be it criticism of his writing style or the horrible pacing, etc.). Their website is one part of the ASOIAF fandom I tend to avoid and I know that should not impact my opinion of a book written by them with Martin but here we are.

Don't forget to play Rains of Castamere before you tell em you got bronchitis.
I mean, google says acute bronchitis is contagious. Right?
