Disney will make a live-action remake of their 1973 animation film Robin Hood.

Blindspotting director Carlos Lopez Estrada is on board to helm the movie. Kari Granlund, who wrote the script for 2019’s Disney + reboot of Lady and the Tramp, is attached to pen the new Robin Hood. Justin Springer, whose Disney credits include Dumbo and Tron: Legacy, is producing the pic.

Also yes, they will bring the anthropomorphic animals to life with VFX. Maybe this will be Disney's Cats lololol

I'm rather generous in regards to the live action Disney movies, but come on... it's been 5 seconds since the last Robin Hood movie.

Did they subscribe to a "realistic fur CGI" creative bundle that they have to use up before the subscription ends?

Lol, this is Disney making 'Cats'. I don't want to see it but it's likely to be a glorious mess that Disney can pretend does not exist until the end of time.

Might be a better idea to let Pixar take care of this lol

Since Disney will probably go for photorealistic animals but walking on two legs. I just don't see them approaching it like Serkis did with Mowgli when it comes to the animals' faces.
