really liked this movie. i didn’t engage with much promotional material so i didn’t know what it was about other than the “AI not bad, actually” theme. did not expect the vietnam war inspiration and overt US imperialism shaming (which i greatly enjoyed).

visuals were amazing and like everyone else i was blown away when i found that it had a budget of only $80 million.

JDW was great. i don’t think i’ve seen a better performance from him, but my god the child actor stole the show. she was unbelievably good.

9/10 for me
