must say that also makes it more interesting, like what in the hell will the story be. Then again, Star Wars and Avatar had quite closed endings too and yet, massive success and here we are lol

We can, there are a lot of solo movies. It's just... when there's so much money on the table of course they'll make another one. Every movie that made more than 1B either already was part of a series/franchise or started one. Except for Titanic.
