Missed opportunity to call this Maximum Carnage.
I think they reserved that one for the next sequel lol

That didn't do much.
Yeah everything I've seen is hyping this trailer up, but I found it completely underwhelming.

It's a bad trailer. It starts and ends well because the selling point for this is what worked in the first one - Hardy's craziness and Brock's "unique" relationship to Venom.
The problem with the trailer is that it doesn't show us a story link between Carnage and Venom... like how is Harrelson going to come into this story is left completely out. For some reason Brock visits him in jail - no motivation other than maybe he's a journalist still? Obviously after their meeting he becomes Carnage, escapes and Venom has to stop him but since there is no link, it's not an effective set up. And once again, it's very low on full Venom shots, action and craziness
