Taika over Noah/Greta? Why are they both getting snubbed so much this year?

At least Phillips isn't in there.

Baumbach should really get a Best Director nomination and as I've heard Gerwig should so too.

We'll find out who are the nominees on the 13th btw

Philips not getting in is a major highlight, although Gerwig should've gotten in over Taika or possibly Mendes (I haven't seen Jo Jo but..)

BAFTA's are out and they love that "Joker". Lead all nominations with 11.

Acting nominees were also all white, no JLo, Antonio, or lupita nyong'o. People are gonna be mad
What's funny is the BAFTAs are saying that the industry needs to change, yet they are a) the industry and b) the ones nominating the films and hence have the power to affect what kinds of films get the spotlight: https://variety.com/2020/film/news/baft ... 203459074/

But what? You haven't seen the movie so you have no ground to say he shouldn't have been nominated :P it's a really good movie, that's fantastically directed.

Bafta/DGA seems to be suggesting the same thing we learned from Toronto/Venice.

Joker is more popular outside NA, while Jojo is the other way around.
