the roger deakins one shows two DIFFERENT prominent members of this place that don’t seem like alts, so that alone opens a new can of worms but the sam mendes one is vpn’ed so random ips is all i can see lol.

*the two members i ain’t mentioning by name because i want to see who actually did it or if the first one has the second one as ANOTHER alt like yikes i feel so played tbh

My dear friend Sam told me he's flirting with the idea of directing his own amateur porno next, so I think I'll lens that one next, trying to give it a real cinematic look and feel and creating a truly immersive sexperience. Maybe I'll do a quick cumeo, idk
Yes!!! But I can only make it happen if you are on board as well. We are tied together forever and ever hehe right???

Roger, my dear friend, one detail is wrong, however. I DO NOT intend to make my first pornographic feature film amateur by any means. It will be shot on 35mm and shown at every IMAX in your nearest location. I think if we want to popularize film over digital again, porn is the way to go.

Since this internet website is very friendly, I encourage everyone to submit their favorite fancasting ideas. Lots of great roles there. I want A list stars, but I am open to newcomers as well!!!

Also my world war I epic movie 1917 is coming out in January. Please see it multiple times in theaters. Dear nolan fans, I know we can make it happen.
I am very much available for this role. Maybe Leo can be my scene partner?

I saw this. It's very good, but the artifice of the "single take" smothers what should feel like the randomized chaos of a war zone with a machine-like logic to keep the camera rolling.

Sometimes it clicks, but it mostly felt performative

glad to hear you liked it - hopefully going after i shoot my thesis this weekend. pretty busy/stressed until then.

unfortunately, it does kind of sound like my fear of the single take thing being technical bragging rights rather than a legitimate storytelling technique came true

That's not at all the consensus but sure.

i was uh... replying to vader’s post since i usually agree with his opinions and he seemed a bit lukewarm on the one-take thing. i’m aware it’s gotten mostly raves

I know. You have the same opinion as him to the point you think you were “right” about something you haven’t seen just because he said so without it even being close to the consensus. That’s odd to me.

*This is nothing against Vader whatsoever, I completely respect his opinion.

So I watch yesterday night the film 1917. I really liked it and and I recommand seeing it in IMAX. But what I wanted to discuss here on this website is that it really feels like Dunkirk. I have some examples, btw Spoilers alert!!
Casting unknow actors in the leading role.
Fionn Whitehead in Dunkirk.
George Mckay in 1917. Both names to the caracters are not inportant. Both are young soldiers who you don't know who they are.
Dunkirk was shot on 15/70MM IMAX film. 1917 is shot with IMAX Digital with the aspect ratio 1.90
Dunkirk put a Imax camera in bad weather on boats and planes. 1917 is one shot where it is constant with the caracters. Both films are a technical achievement
What I ment saying is. If this film wins all the oscars and big prizes at other award shows. It would be weird because Dunkirk did many things of this film first. The story is different. But in my opinion the feeling all feels really much like Dunkirk. I just do not hope it all comes because Dunkirk came out in July and 1917 in December.
