Let's wait for the second weekend results to declare any amazing success. GvK also had a strong opening and everyone thought we're back in business but with the HBO Max deal it didn't do all that well domestically in the long run.

I wonder how the Paramount's 45 day deal will influence repeat viewings and second weekend results. The first one had a similar opening weekend but strong legs to reach 188 million domestically. I fear those numbers are impossible in current moviegoing climate and box office revenue will become even more front-loaded than it was becoming before the Pandemic. If this reaches 120 domestically this will be a success for the entire business.

Internationally it's still a different story. It seems that other than China, no markets are performing well. So we're still ways to go from going back to how things were.
