I always get Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, and Alden Ehrenreich mixed up. I'm sure one of them is just made up to mess with people.

I think Egerton is good, he's great as Elton. Elgort is solid. Don't care too much for Alden, but all I've really seen him in is the middling "Solo"
Back on topic, I am intrigued by this movie, it's Spielberg, of course. But I don't really see how they are gonna make it "stand out" from the original beyond more appropriate ethnic casting.
