I actually thought this was alright.
Sure, it's one of Waititi's weaker offerings, and it plays things too safe to really qualify as "anti-hate satire," but it's just charming enough to be a good time. The TIFF crowd I saw it with was pretty receptive, but that might just be Toronto.

The cast is solid and Roman Griffin Davis did great. Nice to see Thomasin McKenzie in more movies too, I really liked her in Leave No Trace and I really liked her in this.

Rockwell was a joy to watch from the start.
Waititi's Hitler is more or less what one would expect. He's mostly inoffensive and kinda an affable dumb-dumb. The performance reminded me a lot of Waititi's Viago, actually.
