I can't see this matching GOT/Westworld quality even despite the ridiculous budget.

Now I'm DEFINITELY avoiding this.

We have confirmed from multiple sources that @AmazonStudios new billion-dollar #LOTR series will open its first season centered on a young Aragorn.

So it will start with Young Aragorn in jungle and end when he goes to meet the Hobbits in Prancing Pony? That's not a proper character arc.

It would be like making a Jason Bourne prequel focusing on his college life and CIA training.

Edit: And no Hollywood, it's not an idea.

Guess we'll see him grow up in Rivendell and end up searching for Gollem with Gandalf.

in theory there's enough tolkien lore for them to not have to stretch or milk it but that already seems like its happening. need to know more about who's involved. IP's are seductive but not a reason in itself to be excited.

if thats the plotline they're doing then i pray they follow the crown's formula but there's no reason to think that yet
