well i'd certainly hope not. to me it feels like a prestige film where you're showcasing the performances and the camera is more out of the way. which is cool! some bits remind me of the godfather in that way

Eh, they're trying to sell it as the typical Scorsese gangster flick with his trademark kinetic energy. It doesn't really matter, it's just a trailer.

Don't forget that Thelma said the film is very funny too. This looks very in line with the book and what I imagined Marty would make. Great trailer. And of course, it looks even more flawless on Netflix itself.

The press screening is underway and there will be a press conference featuring Scorsese and the cast afterwards.
