Looks like a total ripoff of 28 Days Later.

Looks more George A than 28 Days... especially in terms of art direction.

Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead is one of the greatest comics of all time. The story never falters, and any character can die at any time. Brutal, gripping stuff. And everyone who reads it gets hooked instantly. It's the only comic whose sales have kept INCREASING issue by issue over the last 5 years!
Given AMC's excellent track record, I've no doubts that The Walking Dead, under Frank Darabont's guidance, will become yet another classic. :-)

I'm recording it and it looks decent, but making the claim that it's going to be the greatest show ever is ridiculous and premature.

it has potential. that clip that premired @ the scream awards was pretty cool, though.

Only the fact that he wakes up in a hospital. Which 28 days later ripped off from ''The walking dead'' comic books.

Yeah, that's true. Most people automatically assume that The Walking Dead ripped it off from 28 Days Later when it is not so.
Kirkman said in an interview that he didn't want The Walking Dead to be like any ordinary zombie movie. That's the uniquemess of this series. THERE IS NO HAPPY ENDING!
Hell, even the title does not refer to the zombies. It refers to the human survivors because they realise that they don't have a "life" any more, they have been reduced to pathetic individuals who spend every waking moment of their existence fearfully anticipating their deaths (and eventual conversion to zombiehood) and are willing to do anything, no matter how despicable or immoral, to prevent that.
