I used to read the Tintin comics and watch the animated series so I'm really excited for this.

I'm glad that they are doing this by motion capture and not as a live action film. Spielberg said in an interview that mo-cap enables him to show Tintin himself onscreen, not an actor playing Tintin. That's a significant advantage.
I'm really psyched for this movie. If all goes well, the second part will be directed by Peter Jackson and produced by Steven Spielberg.

Tintin has never been popular in the States (perhaps because of Tintin In America? ), so it would be interesting to see how much of this movie's box office will be from overseas.
