In the weirdest lede-bury ever, in an article about Jeremy Renner breaking his arms Variety wrote that there is a Bourne 6 and that he'll be returning as a lead.

Nobody actually wants to see Renner as Bourne again. And tbh, looking at the quality of the last Bourne film, nobody wants to see Damon as Bourne either.

I'd be down for Gyllenhaal as Bourne tho.

The franchise needs another director and a fresh start at this point

Stahp. Nobody wants Renner as lead in anything blockbuster after M:I4 and Legacy.

And Bourne 5 (4?) was a poor entry, probably worse than Legacy.

Renner seems like he's been shafted a bit, I'd love to see him leading his own thing.

The franchise should have continued with Renner. His Bourne was pretty darn good and was a well-made bye bye to the Damon era.

Instead they brought Damon back for that atrocious thing which I want to forget that it even exists.
