So this may actually be 100% original material in the world of Watchmen but without directly adapting the comic book (which would be repetitive anyway after the film)
[Adapting] may be the right word, at the end of the day. Do you watch Fargo at all? I wouldn't call Noah Hawley's version of Fargo an adaptation because the movie exists inside of his world, and so everything that happened in the movie Fargo, it does precede the television show Fargo. So they find a bag of money in the first season, and you go, 'Oh, that came from the movie.' But it's also, Noah is pulling from other areas of the Coen brothers' canon, so it evokes like Lebowski, but it's also his own thing. I think it's widely known that Alan Moore does not want Watchmen to be adapted, so I'm playing a bit of a game of semantics here in saying, 'I'm not adapting Watchmen!'
After The Leftovers, I'm following Lindelof anywhere and I'm beyond hyped this is not a strict adaptation

Creators of Leftovers doing this in an original way makes me giddy.

Leftovers is genius.

if anyone hasn't seen The Leftovers, get on it. S2 and S3 are all time great.

If LOST was Fight Club, Leftovers would be his Zodiac.

I know lol, but it's the easiest one I know.

Hell, I'd rather go for TGWTDT or Gone Girl.

I'll be the first one to admit LOST has tons of issues. Doesn't change the fact that it was basically my entire teenage life. It's easily up there with the greatest shows of all time in terms of character development, although the plot isn't great at times.

Also, why would I be mad about a comparison to a show I haven't even seen lol
