Do bear in mind that the trailer is cut to go with Dark Phoenix this weekend...of course it'll amp up the action elements and so on, if anything falling into cliche is a sign that the film actually isn't like that at all.

I'm always in for a hard-sci-fi/space movie.

Assuming that this trailer wasn't misleadingly edited (to go with Dark Phoenix as said above), it looks to be way more mainstream and crowd-pleasing than his last movie (The Lost City of Z).

Bad dialogue. Space scenes look really fake. It’s being sold like a simplified Interstellar rehash.

since this has a similar budget, i think i understand why Chazelle went with extreme shaky cam for most of his space stuff lol

HvH and B-Pitty in space are enough for a measly ticket price in my book (yes, it’s still measly here in comparison to most countries).
