Its not comparable, like at all. It'd be like saying well if we can remake Scarface, we might as well remake The Godfather.

IIRC Sam Esmail started working on creating a miniseries out of Metropolis. Ofcourse that's not the same as Fincher/Villeneuve doing a movie remake of it but still. Prolly ain't happening.

Your analogy/comparison is wrong on so many levels.

It's really not. The film version of Dune is not comparable to Metropolis. One is considered a golioith of film, a cornerstone, the other...not so much. To say that because the former needs a remake, we might as well remake the latter doesn't really make much sense.
