I look at a picture from David Lynch's Dune I see a specific style that is strange and weird (and might be interesting to me as a result).

I look at this picture, it looks like any generic sci-fi setting with generic protagonist guy looking down...it's something I guess, just not something to be excited about.

It's one fucking picture! How much can one you demand from a first look?

I believe you pinpointed the issue (for those who have it right now) much better, but then again stillsuits are much more iconic, and we are yet to see a stillsuit in this movie. Hopefully it's as good looking and memorable as the originals were. In general, one of the redeeming qualities of Lynch's odyssey was its production design.

I doubt any image can create hype for general audiences for this. It's not a popular IP among most movie watchers. Let's wait for a teaser to do that.
