And after the hits, Mel Gibson and Jim Caviezel took for The Passion. Now they're gearing up for The Resurrection, which says everything about their character as people. They are brave, especially Jim, who suffered on the set. During the filming of The Passion of the Christ. Caviezel lost 45 pounds, was struck by lightning, accidentally scourged with a whip twice, leaving a 14-inch scar, had his shoulder dislocated, suffered from pneumonia and hypothermia, and needed two open heart surgeries after filming.

Must have sucked for Qaviezel.
Jim Caviezel would disagree with you. He expressed the suffering that made his performance legendary. Caviezel won the Christian Oscar. He doesn't regret it. I read he made a percentage at the box office for the original he helped transform so many lives from all walks of life from people watching it. I read some people want to see him canceled over his views, and this will be another juggernaut at the box office. So it's going not going to affect him or Mel.

Yes, Jim Caviezel has won. I believe two going on three movie guide awards. Christopher Nolan's work has gotten nominated in the best film categories. Mel Gibson is the only person to have his films win best picture at the academy awards and the movie guide awards.
