Wish Snyder nothing but the best. Seriously. He cares so much. I think BVS is trash and I don't think he's a good filmmaker, but he's one of the good ones out there.

Snyder is essentially just an edgelord who wants to make grimdark stuff because he thinks that alone means it's sophisticated. I can accept edgy stuff that is violent and depressing but when something takes itself seriously it better have substance and be excellently made or otherwise the very fact that it takes itself seriously just looks laughable and that's what BvS and all the other Snyder nonsense is: dumb films thinking they are saying something smart.
