The film is tonally inconsistent and fails as a sequel, but in its own right, it's better for me personally. You have to properly empathize with Emily Blunt's character's moral crisis to enjoy the first, which I don't. The sequel is a less cohesive, more "testosterone-driven" film, which I am completely alright with.
