Star Wars Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
This is not a bad idea. Very TDKR esque. My prediction on the title: Rey has no last name. She's the daughter of nobody traders who pawned her off for drinks. But the galaxy needs a symbol, so she takes on a last name to honor its greatest hero: Skywalker. Skywalker ceases to be a family. It becomes a title.
'Robin John Blake' becomes 'Batman' was one of the more dumb things about The Dark Knight Rises.
Han getting slapped with the Solo surname by a random imperial bureaucrat in that Solo movie was also total cringe.

It tied the whole trilogy together thematically but yeah other than that it was very dumb.MagnarTheGreat wrote: ↑April 12th, 2019, 9:48 pm'Robin John Blake' becomes 'Batman' was one of the more dumb things about The Dark Knight Rises.

Here are my thoughts on what "The Rise of Skywalker" means.
Kylo Ren is redeemed, helps save everyone, and ends the movie in death like Vader or solitude like Luke (the latter is Armand's idea and I think it holds salt).
Rey starts an “Order of the Skywalker” a Jedi Academy named after Luke.
Rey is figuratively adopted into the family. “You’re the Skywalker legend I should have been. You should assume my mythic name” (yes, ala TDKR).
But honestly, there's a more likely plain as day meaning. It absofuckinglutely refers to Luke's sacrifice on Crait, reigniting hope throughout the galaxy as the Skywalker Myth "rises." completing the arc begun by "I thought he was a myth" from Rey. (...also like TDKR)
*none of these ideas are mutually exclusive
What do you guys think?

Here's what the title means: it's the title of the movie.
Hahaha what a trainwreck. I can’t wait to see McDiarmid ham it up.
Looks good!
