Damn. I wonder what will it do to production cost now.

Damn it!
Eh. In a sense this is unfortunate in another sense...you can still do a ton of practical stuff in studio like the Star Wars films and it’s a way to separate it and make Gotham more distinct than just simply being Chicago or Pittsburg/NYC. Like Vader said it will prob be more like Begins but different and I have faith in Reeves.

I have faith in Reeves and the production that they will be able to make this look seemless.

Well, that and they might use the technology designed for The Mandalorian, which Fraser has quite some experience with. I'm always for on location shoots, Glasgow would've been a wonderful stand in for Gotham but I can understand why they'd want to continue production in studios rather than on location.
Batman Begins still was really beautiful and only had a small portion on location, too.

sets are hardly a sentence. and if they really needed to shoot something on location they would

The budget, the logistics and the timing is crazy right now for the crew, I cannot imagine the cost being anything under at least 30mil.-50mil. extra on top of rumored 80mil.

Looks good, but does this version of Gotham City exist in some constant state of infrared or something...
