Adams is a fantastic actress. She's kind and humble and she is very charismatic. I think her work in Arrival is one of her very best but she delivered in this as well.

Question about the flashbacks:
Adams, Gyllenhaal and Hammer really did look younger in those. Especially Gyllenhaal. Just make-up work or did they make them look slightly older in the present scenes?

How is that relevant? This is still a career. Campaigning for an Oscar makes you less sweet or less down to earth as a person? Just because one doesn't care about having an Oscar doesn't mean they're a humble human being. It's not so black and white.

I think it was makeup. With Adams, I feel like they used certain makeup primers that blurs your wrinkles and makes the skin look softer. It was a more toned down Korean makeup.

Holy crap.

One of the worst things I've read this year. Dude what?

So a "down to earth actress in Hollywood" should stick home cooking noodles and let others do the campaign for her or not care at all about awards instead of focusing on her career and campaigning for her own work?

Woah man you must have some high ass standards. If I would be a Hollywood actress I definitely wouldn't want you as my boyfriend. Fuck it, wouldn't want you as my boyfriend at all regardless of my job. That shit is just overly judgmental and pathetic.

At least I don't think Gal Gadot got cast as Wonder Woman because she banged Snyder.

Or an agent or a *fill in the blank*

You guys misunderstand what I was saying. There's nothing wrong with promoting and campaigning, most do it. She just comes off as desperate for an Oscar, that's the difference. She also makes those round tables really awkward and uncomfortable by bringing up stuff that has nothing to do with acting IMO. I'm done commenting on this, it's not a big deal.

What does she bring up?

Paparazzi and her daughter every single time. It's really awkward and has nothing to do with what anyone's talking about and she tries to force it down others throats to agree with her about it. It's not a big deal.
