I just prefer him to do cheesy monologues. Not even kidding lol. He's just a kid from Queens with not a lot of money and his wit. I didn't like how much technological advancements his suit had (which is unfortunately now the standard and it can only go up from there).
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
He's a kid, how is he going to resist having a couple more gadgets to play around with? The voice of Jennifer Connolly was his babysitter once Stark realised Peter is going to need help more often than he expected.
Plus, if he's going to go up against Thanos, using his homemade suit ain't going to get him out alive.

Get rid of the suit and the gadgets and that gets rid of the need for a "babysitter"BlairCo wrote:He's a kid, how is he going to resist having a couple more gadgets to play around with? I see you Bacon, but trust me we dodged a bullet by getting Connelly and the charm so you kinda immediately jump on board while you're watching the movie. The whole point of Karen is to show the audience how ridiculous it is for this kid to have all this power in his hands, let alone the gadgets. Maybe they'll switch to inner voice Pete in the sequel but somehow I doubt it, and honestly wouldn't mind. Anyway, the current state in comic books by Dan Slott is so out there (he's owning Parker Industries, a la Stark) that this latest movie iteration is a godsend for many in terms of how it portrays Spidey.

So I just realised I hadn't given my thoughts on this movie. Saw it while I was in LA, at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre (stunning cinema by the way, probably the best I've been to from a pure architecture porn perspective).
Loved this, enjoyed it a lot more than I expected I would. Made me feel like a giddy kid going through his Spider-Man obsessed phase again. I imagine a lot of what could be said about the film has already been said but I just wanna say that that scene
Will need to rewatch it at some point but it's up there with Raimi's Spider-Man 2.

Murata is always an awesome artist. Love his work on One Punch Man.SilverHeart wrote:Oh man, the Japanese promo campaign is on their fucking A-game.
Seriously guys, I can't ask something about a film I haven't seen yet? Don't forget m4 does that on a regular basis with films/series he hasn't seen yet, yet I can't do that. That doesn't make sense at all.
Anyway, why wouldn't they include Ben? He's pretty damn vital to Spider-Man lol I don't get this. When's the blu-ray coming out? I hope they give some explanation in the film then.

It's unsurprisingly not important when your Spider-Man is prefabricated as he is here
Batman films in future could take a leaf out of that book... we're up to four or five Wayne murders filmed or something?

Yep. And arguably the best Batman movie had no mention of his parents - The Dark Knight. I know it's a sequel but technically so is Homecoming. Plus the film already does something great when it comes to parent-children relationship.ArmandFancypants wrote:It's unsurprisingly not important when your Spider-Man is prefabricated as he is here
