Yes Tate Taylor for sure.ArmandFancypants wrote:Glad DuVernay passed, they might be able to get someone good.
Is there a compelling reason Tate Taylor shouldn't be considered? His films thus far have been surprisingly robust for what they are, and he already got great work out of Boseman.
Black Panther (2018)
Feige mentioned Reginald Hudlin the day they announced the film as up for consideration, and he actually wrote Black Panther in the past. F. Gary Gray was also up for the directing spot for Winter Soldier but dropped to do Compton once that got greenlit. Maybe Gray directs and Hudlin writes, or just Hudlin as director and writer?
^^ On the set of Captain America: Civil War
If Hudlin blowing up with Compton means hell be too busy to do this I could see Peter Ramsey (Rise of the Guardians) doing it. Fits Marvel's MO of smaller directors.

Sources tell Variety that Joe Robert Cole, who comes from Marvel’s in-house writing program, is in negotiations to pen the script to the comic book film starring Chadwick Boseman.

So they'll wait until the script's done before they hire a director? So much for 'creative directorial vision'...
Cole's directed in the past so he may get the director role too.
And he's black. Perfect for the gig.SilverHeart wrote:Cole's directed in the past so he may get the director role too.
