Was never the biggest fan of Villeneuve. I thought Enemy was pretty cool.
But didn't especially care whether I bought a ticket.

And then I saw the reviews and reactions flood in, and now my interest is piqued.

Ten films I'm looking forward to with brief reasoning as to why:

1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens- Star Wars sells itself but after the bad prequels I'm hoping Abrams works some magic.
2. The Revenant- Director of Birdman, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy, and all of the crazy stories from the production
3. Ex Machina- Missed it in theaters but it sounds like my kind of film. Intelligent tension filled scifi.
4. The Big Short- The director of Anchorman and an all star cast tackling a fascinating and relevant true story.
5. The Hateful Eight- A smaller scaled true Western by Tarantino. I'm hoping for a bounce back after not caring for Django.
6. Spectre- The reviews have been mixed but it's still a Bond film. Excited to see what Waltz bring to the table as well.
7. Secret In Their Eyes- The original is supposed to be excellent and I'm real impressed by Chiwetel Ejiofor. Top 5 actor to me.
8. Everest- Missed it in theaters and regret it. After Nightcrawler and Prisoners, Gyllenhaal is my top actor to watch.
9. Bridge of Spies- Trailers have me thinking this is a little sappy for the material. But Spielberg is still a legend.
10. Steve Jobs- The story of an iconic individual told through a highly praised performance by Michael Fassbender.

Ex Machina is out on bluray (has been for awhile) if you did not know.

Thanks, one of my friends just bought it so I'm planning on borrowing it from him for a night. Hope it's as great as you and some others have suggested.

I've watched it a couple times now and it is probably one of my favorite science fiction films in the past 15 years.

Looking forward to the "Peanuts" movie. Charlie Brown and Co. are just so likeable.
