Well, can't really judge his portfolio, but he seems to primarily direct comedies. Not sure how to feel about it.

Unless Hideo Kojima is the producer and he help to make the right casting.....don't even bother.
And I don't know about this director....yet.

On another hand, if I am not wrong I think I heard like 3-4 years ago that Paul Thomas Anderson was at some point interested in this project.
