I agree with Nolan's assertion that Amazon's model is better overall, since both parties benefit a bit more equally. If Netflix really wants to step up their game beyond documentaries and into more stuff like Bright they're going to need to rethink their model. Not necessarily windowed release, but something that gives theaters actual incentive to showcase their films.
The Netflix Club
Just finished 13 Reasons Why. Good show, music and cinematography were fantastic. But the first half was better than the last, and "number 11" was pretty damn anticlimactic considering what was leading up to it.
Currently binge watching Drop Dead Diva. It's actually an excellent premise yo. Cross between Ally McBeal and The Good Place. No wonder it has six seasons.
