The direction was noticeably awkward in the latest episode, and I never notice stuff like that.

And lo and behold...it's a first-time director (regular job: cinematographer).

I'm sure that he spent years watching the director work and got the hang of 80% of the work, but it's that last 20% that makes it all seamless, and he hasn't got it yet.

Who is the intelligence inside the new Charlotte? I first thought it would be Teddy, but I forgot that he went into the "valley beyond" in season 2..
Dolores
Looks like I was right and wrong.

Want to make sure I got this correct:
So, Dolores smuggled herself out of Westworld at the end of season 2 in a Charlotte Hale Host body and brought 5 additional "pearls" with her. So, that makes 6 pearls in total. 4 of the pearls we know are all Dolores and one is Bernard. We don't know yet the who the final pearl is, another Dolores or somebody else.
And they haven't explained yet why Dolores would bring out a pearl of Bernard, who is now actively trying to stop her from completing her mission?

I initially found the editing to be pretty heavy handed but by the end I felt fine with the erratic nature of it. It turned to a great experience for me

Yeah, it was the editing that made the whatever parts of the episode that felt kinda awkward, for me, not the directing.
