Since his Hollywood debut it seems like Waltz has been trying to collaborate with as many directors as possible, and in that process has ended up being typecasted over and over again as a slightly eccentric, unconventional or strange character. Big Eyes and hopefully, Tulip Fever, will be exceptions.
