I found The Incredible Hulk to be really underrated: all the characters' motivations are clear, there are actual stakes and the drama is not undercut by constant snark and jokes. It feels like an actual movie that way...

Hawkeye was overall decent. Quite a bit better than Falcon and What If? but no where near as good as Loki and WandaVision.
The big problem is, that it has this very compelling and serious premise of
a man dealing with his dark past that has now come to haunt an innocent person instead of him, but instead of putting enough focus there, the show continuously loses its way in the middle of the goofy Vikings in the woods and the comically incompetent gang bros. Don't even let me start on Rogers the Musical.
Couple of things:
- Episdoe 4 was very good and had one of Marvel's more emotionally resonant moments
- Pugh/Steinfeld dynamic is fire
- Pretty much a complete waste of Kingpin
- Can't wait for Echo's spinoff show
Not taking anything away from the phase four shows, but none of them hold a candle to the Agents of Shield or the Netflix daredevil series! Hawkeye is my favorite of our phase four. It felt the most MCU to me!

Well. This is franchise and business and executives should be more thrilled about making money with IPs, beating all things hollywood down to a science.
The IPs are masks that actors put on face and IPs are movie stars. It is really degrading for an actor and you can only be a movie star this way if Tobey Maguire ever did.
Martin Scorsese, Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve are very aware of this. This is using theatres in TV format. Wouldn't mind any of this if movies were interesting. They are so boring I can't sit through their runtime.
Well, the series just feels aimless now and I didn't think much of it to begin with. Even the films from the series that I do like I do not necessarily feel are films that I absolutely need to rewatch. The only film I have even some interest in at this stage is the recent Spiderman film, mainly because I enjoy the idea of actors from the Raimi Spiderman films coming back. But overall, the MCU feels like a zombie: the franchise needs to go away but it won't because it makes money. It's just held up by marketing and anticipation (which Disney is admittedly good at generating) but it's not a nourishing meal in terms of ideas that are being expressed and that's a real shame. Thoroughly disposable mediocrity.
