Weird thing to say, I know, but the plot description alone put Kristin Scott Thomas at the top of prospective Oscar lists.

Sasha Stone @AwardsDaily 8m
@kristapley she's got an Ellen Barkin vibe happening in this one. Though she does use the term "cum bucket."

First reviews on Farhadi's Le passe are quite positive.
“The Past” is just about as good as a relationship drama is ever going to get.
This movie is gossipy and hand-wringing, but crafted with enough grace that you could safely call it art.

SCORE: 8.6 / 10

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Iranian film-maker Asghar Farhadi has come to Cannes with an absorbing, fascinating if slightly contrived movie.
It is an intricate and often brilliant drama, with restrained and intelligent performances; there is an elegantly patterned mosaic of detail, unexpected plot turns, suspenseful twists and revelations.
Farhadi shows that anatomising relationships is vivisection: painful and possibly even distorting.

Screening of Inside Llewyn Davis is today - hopefully we'll get some stellar reactions.

I just saw Billington's tweet. He said an hour ago it will start in an hour. So now.
