Same here. God, it really was a pretty good movie. I mean, nothing still compares to Casino Royale for me, and probably never will, but this comes close. It’s my second favorite Craig era that’s for sure.

Yeah they make it seem like the blueprints no longer exist. It's a freaking film camera just bigger lol. Maybe it's about exclusivity and prestige + IMAX's focus has shifted towards digital and 1.90:1.

Anyway, I saw this yesterday in IMAX. I was hesitant to make the trip but glad I did. The first 15 minutes or so were a treat in IMAX. It's interesting that Dune had so much foux IMAX material but the switch didn't have any effect on me. I actually might have preferred Dolby Cinema over IMAX for Dune. But for this? I'm glad I didn't miss it. The IMAX scenes just pop.

The movie is definitely much better than its trailers. I enjoyed it. They lost me with the third act - the hell was the villain's plan?. The emotional climax didn't really hit me. I only watched Craig's movies once last year so I'm not that attached.

And wow this was probably the loudest movie I've ever seen in IMAX. Or maybe it was my headache acting up.

So I've seen it. How could I not love it? As someone who deeply loves OHMSS and would defend most of Spectre, this was made for me. Once they played a few notes of We have all the time in the world, I knew I was the targeted audience. I've been saying for years this is the best track of all Bond films.

Obviously the plot is not really good (which is somehow quite frequent in the history of the franchise), the villain is not really good (which is more rare, but not too big a deal as long as he represents a big threat;
also if I'm correct, we haven't seen a single woman be a villain in the entire Craig run (don't answer Vesper, please), and he's only fought men, right? He really was a gallant Bond!), the second act kinds of drags... But, man, I cared so much for Bond and Madeleine. The little girl is perfect.
I love the many references to the rest of the franchise, like the nod to FYEO,
when he kills Billy Magnussen's character.
It's such a great franchise!

Tenet was a much louder film, I think.

Didn’t get to see Tenet in IMAX but it definitely was a loud movie. Dunkirk in IMAX was loud too. But this for me was on another level. The film was loaded with gunshots and explosions all over.

and don’t get me wrong it was awesome.

Ana De Armas absolutely smashed her role, I love her so much. That amazing 5 minute tracking shot at the end, classic Cary. The end broke me so much.

Messy but what an ending. Bravo

Ana de Armas was reeeally, surprisingly good in this, that whole sequence was very refreshing. Overall, I didn't think too much about the film since I saw it one or two weeks ago, I wasn't blown away by it, but I liked the ending - even if I didn't like the character motivation for the ending... the fact that the film ended this way was good, but I didn't connect with the whole premise of the film and the villain's motivation and arsenal... it was just too much techno babble and fantasy technology for me. I know, it's James Bond, but for some reason I hoped to see something more... well, realistic. But this is just me.

I think the film was moving, had a good emotional core, but I wasn't amazed by the whole experience. It was alright. And liked Craig! I mean, in all of his James Bond flicks, but this one in particular.
