Well, makes sense to give Dune the priority in the country you're in lol

I don't know when I'll see this. Hopefully soon. Think I'd rather opt for ultra laser/atmos than IMAX tho.

As for revisiting Craigs Bond run... I've watched Casino Royale in advance of the Spring 2020 release lol, then watched Quantum of Solace sometime before the next release date and well you can guess how this is going. Which means; given up lololol I've seen Skyfall and Spectre plenty enough already and might do a Bondathon once NTTD is on home release or something idk. Its a good run tho.

Does it? 😁 Dune is doing great here and happy. But NTTD deserves some IMAX love as well.

I guess the most important film to revisit is Spectre. I really enjoyed all the films. But it’s been so long the hype has died down a bit for me. And I feel like I need a refresher lol.

One thing though… they kept playing the main trailer and I gotta say (sorry to whoever edited that trailer) but I really dislike it. You’d expect a better cut trailer for such a monumental movie.

Yeah I fucking cried, Fukunaga you madman.

Is it basically Dark Knight Rises, right with all its messiness relative to the previous high bar (in this case CR and SF)? yes. Firmly in the middle of the pack there of the Craig era.

Did I still love it? Yes. It's everything I wanted it to be not just from when I walked out of Spectre, but when I saw my first big screen Bond which was - yes - QoS. This and SP being the films where Bond goes after the bastards.

Was it worth the however many miles away I am for full 1.43 IMAX? YES. EVEN THE GUNBARREL

As people have said it's emotional, it wears its heart and inspirations very much on its sleeve - almost to a fault - it also is the real "let's throw everything and the kitchen sink at Craig" film - it mixes so much tonally but somehow all works out in the end. And did not drag at all....

As a non Bond fan I didn't follow the emotional climax of the movie but still I enjoyed most of it. I think Cary Fukunaga really delivered in terms of visuals and action ideas. The villain was truly memorable with an amazing entrance (later on he became totally generic with a motivation I didn't follow), the main henchman was alright, they made Madelaine a bit better character this time around, and Paloma was a fun little character. I had a lot of issues, though:
- I hate when it's a shootout and the hero is a one man army in spy thrillers. I think I enjoy Nolan's action more, as well as Bourne films, because he keeps the threats more believable, managable, instead of stormtrooper levels of incompetence from the bad guys.
- I didn't care for the new 007
- the plot of world conflict is underdeveloped to say the least

*I know my ranking of Casino and Die Another Day are unpopular ones but I rewatched all Craig films and the first hour of that film is just so boring and confusing I was shocked at how bad it was with no personal stakes for the character of Bond to keep you invested either. It gets better when they get to the Casino but by that time they get there I was checked out. As for DAD, it's just cheesy fun 60% of the time. When it's not it's also dull and boring but I appreciate the cheesiness.
**I've seen the Dalton ones, bits of Connery's and Moore's but it's been so long since I've seen them I wouldn't be able to rank or rate them now.

It might have been my own fault for expecting so much from this, but I expected... something a tad more out there. I wish I loved it more

I can't wait for this!!

I love all the Craig Bond but Skyfall is still a masterpiece, it'll be dificult to top the elegance and the finesse of this one.
