Economically (ethically, even) this makes sense, they had to pull the trigger now, especially since theaters have, and will, close all over the world - not to mention bans on large crowds and so forth. But I wonder what No Time To Die will end up costing EON and MGM in total. 500-600 million? No chance this will cost less than 400 million in total.
After taking a big L on The Rhythm Section, EON's guaranteed hit in 2020 will now have to be a monster to make a real profit.
