Fruitvale Station

Michael B. Jordan was amazing  . Strong performances all around. I knew how it would end but I still got emotional watching the events unfold. I shed some tears. This is a story of a young flawed human being trying to better himself for his family and it all ends so tragically. I was afraid that it was going to get preachy or that the director was going to portray Oscar Grant as this perfect guy but the director simply gives you the facts of what happened that night. Oscar Grant was a real person with many flaws but he also had hopes and dreams and family and friends who loved him. This movie really is a celebration of his life and the impact he had on those he left behind.

Grade: A-

Probably one of the best cop movies I've seen. It's just well written and great acting all-round by Pena and Gyllenhaal.
