Probably my least likeable entry because, although it once again does fun things with characters interacting with one another, it certainly feels out of focus on the main narrative or problem at hand and gives more emphasis on the subplot at least until the last 30 minutes or so. It also feels dragging on and nothing particularly exciting happens throughout.
Funny thing is, HP6 also happened to be my least favorite book as well.

A film like that relies solely on how amazing the imagery is, both in content and style, and I honestly felt it was lackluster in both categories. It was such a struggle to finish. Such a vast difference between this film's pacing and that of most contemporary films. Mellow, slow, relaxed, but never boring. Every composition was beautiful despite the poor technology and naturally cluttered environment. I felt slowly drawn into these character's lives, and by the time the third act came around, I was totally invested. Not only that, I couldn't help but reflect on my own life and how I treat my extended family, whether I actually like them as people or not. Wonderful film.

I didn't have any issues with it in that regard. It tackles its themes in a pretty straight-forward way (chicks on conveyor belts in a chicken factory, cut to time-lapse footage of people entering/exiting cramped subways) but I more or less used the film as a catalyst to think about the ideas that it raises in my own life. You kinda fill in the blanks. Plus I've had a travel bug lately so this film was basically porn for me.
