Once Upon A Time in America (BD)

This was such a densely packed, multi-layered and novel like film I don't know if I managed to wrap my mind around it in this first viewing. I think some sections work better then others, but I can't give it flack because it's certainly ambitious. It has a very somber and beautiful tone to it. Something I've noticed when viewing Italian pictures. They all carry a strange mood that draws you in. I really like how the film almost became somewhat of a soap-opera between Max and Noodles. It also kinda gave off the mood of Croneberg films. What are other people opinions on this film, if you've seen it?...

On a side note, I can't wait to watch Once Upon A Time in the West. After that I'll need to finally get to watching The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. So far I've seen both fistful and for a few dollars more.
I was quoting this post last night till my phone died  but yeah I totally agreed with you on the Cronenberg comment

This was such a nice, pleasant film to watch. Isn't perfect, of course, isn't really that great, but it's so fun and enjoyable and sweet. I really liked this one.

A truly great sci-fi action flick that stands out in the age of action films that feel like they've come off a production line. The visuals are absolutely stunning, though they are unfortunately overshadowed by a certain other Zoe Saldana 2009 film, lol. My only complaint at the moment is that the pacing felt rushed, especially in the first half-hour of the film.

8/10, can't wait to watch Into Darkness now.

In this day and age, it is rare to find a reboot (Other than Batman Begins and Casino Royale) that is able to create something new and exciting that will appeal to the old and new audience. This film does a fantastic job of still keeping to the traits of what makes makes Trek fans satisfied, but simultaneously creates something that a new audience get get into. Almost every technical aspect of the film is handled with such delicacy, even the development of all characters, major or minor. And after countless amounts of viewings, it still impresses me quite a lot.

Bring it on Into Darkness.

I finally got around to watching this, since Durden had pressured so many of us into watching it, and I can understand his praise. This is a rather unique look at mental illness, but doesn't look too deep into the meaning over everything that's happening to Curtis. It focuses more on how his the affects of his potential-delusions, not only to him, but to everyone around him. And it's very interesting watching Curtis trying to handle his life before it turns upside down. The last 20 minutes are really satisfying, and rather intense, without being pretentious and leaving everything ambiguous. Shannon was just electrifying, and Chastain is always a wonder to watch on screen.

I love this movie. It is an adrenaline rush and a fantastic time. I hope the sequel lives up to it. Can't wait to see "Into Darkness" tonight and I genuinely hope it is the first great blockbuster of the summer.

Second viewing. Great comedy film. Like all films I love, it has a great ending. If you haven't seen this, get on it.

It's not fit to lick Iron Man Three's rocket boots.
