I can see why this didn't do very well with general audiences. I mostly liked it even though the characters at points were dumber than the ones in Prometheus.

My biggest dissappointment I think was Tennessee. Should've given that hat to someone who actually knows what they're doing.

My biggest disappointment with Prometheus and this is that they cling on to the past way too much. I mean, there are so many scenes which are basically remakes of scenes from the first Alien films. I must admit they brought in some interesting ideas with David, in both Prometheus and Covenant, but that's like the only thing interesting about these two films at all. And yes, it does all look very beautiful, perhaps even more so in Covenant than Prometheus but it's just not enough to make them good films. I hope they stop making sequels to this franchise.
