This scene still contains the best acting I've ever seen.

Also, it's most likely the greatest scene in cinema as well.

It's a testament to Kazan's brilliance that he was able to get an understated performance out of the most epic ham of all time (Steiger).

Only Lumet and Jewison repeated this feat.
