You can never truly appreciate a good film if you don't watch the 'shitty' ones and vice versa. At least that's what I think. Also you can't truly judge a film without seeing it, no matter what the mass critical reception is.

How do you know they're shitty if you haven't seen them? I watched 44 movies this year and at least 75% of them were great. And the rest were quite good (with 2-3 exceptions)
Common, there are a lot of critics sites, blogs, there are friends opinions...and if the most of these sources tells that a film is crap, I won't waste my time on it, maybe only because of my favorite actor/actress.
