A direct sequel = :thumbdown: If we had a spinoff where characters from part one is featured, it'd kill some of the mystique from the original. Who is to say Eames or Arthur or Ariadne aren't merely projections of Cobb's subconscious? So, to have a film based on those characters would kill a whole b...

However, there is always plot holes in most movies. Even Nolan. He's great, but no one's perfect.

Time and patience is what I imagine the process is like for writing Following. I mean, he took a year to shoot it due to schedule conflicts. I'm sure he'd adjust some things in that time. I would. In my opinion, if you're the writer/director -- the script doesn't set things in stone. It's a guideline.
