Re: Dunkirk General Information

The reaction to the trailer among the general audience seems kind of meh. What reaction by the "general audience"? Other than obsessed Nolan fans, and obsessed Styles fans, nobody's even seen it. The "general audience" won't see this until they're viewing it on their TV's at home. It's only been on...

Is there likely to be one? Even if they do a prologue?

Re: Dunkirk Updates Thread

picked up my R1 tickets at a certain IMAX.... just as they were test screening the prologue in 70mm. Runs 5:20, and they/WB/IMAX will *not* be announcing it in advance per Nolan's wishes. He wants people to find out for themselves and let the world spread gradually. (No I have not watched it.) Excu...

Re: Trailer#2

Agreed w/ Lion that there's no structure, tone or pace here. But the film looks great. The prologue will give us the best sense of the tone and rhythm of the film. Was hoping it would keep the teaser's slow, art house feel, but it's very obviously cut more conventionally here. Fascinating score tho...

Re: Dunkirk General Information

i might begin fangirling for harry in dunkirk, what is this an alternate universe happening in front of my eyes??? This film looks incredible. I'm a guy, but i might start "fangirling" over Harry, too. Imagine being a newbie to the acting scene and landing a gig on a Christopher Nolan film? Who the...

Re: IMAX Prologue

This obsession with the rating, though... Really, it's so dumb. What difference does it make? A great movie can rise above, no matter what it's rated. I'd argue it's much more difficult to produce a great PG or PG-13 film than an R rated, where you can always rely on the same old tricks of blood an...
