Re: Fionn Whitehead joins the cast of 'Dunkirk'
I was extremely impressed with Fion. As some have mentioned, with very little dialogue he was able to show the struggle to survive and how conflicted he was about some of things he had to do to in order to escape. He was a standout for me.

Re: Dunkirk General Information/Discussion
Fantastic article on Paste about how Nolan has approached time in his films and why Dunkirk is a new peak for him in that regard. Touches on a lot of things that have been discussed here but really does a good job of explaining why the three timelines work so well and the thematic/aesthetic reasons...

Re: 'Dunkirk' Nolan Fans Member Reviews (NFometer)
I was finally able to go for my second viewing, and as with all of Nolan’s films, I like to see it at least twice before assigning a rating. Well, Nolan has created a masterpiece. From its use of a nonlinear structure, a thriller instead of a traditional war movie, and a subjective experience that t...

Re: Tickets Release and Pre-Orders
Priority Access at AutoNation IMAX for the 7pm on the 20th is "unavailable" due to a "private event" :? I think I'm going to wait til the 9:30 instead. Don't want to drive three hours to lose out on the best 50 seats. I got my priority seating but I am going on the 21st. The new system is cumbersom...

Re: IMAX Locations and Info Thread
In the past you would just select VIP seating or something like that and pay an extra $7. Tickets go on sale this Friday.TeddyBlass wrote:For any Florida peeps doing 4K Laser at AutoNation IMAX... How do you get priority seating?

Re: IMAX Prologue
I hope they show it for those that have laser since the one I go to, Autonation in Florida, converted to laser this year. I asked autonation and this is what they said "We are not at liberty to say but be sure to get your tickets now so you don’t miss it if it is screened." Wow, thanks. That's grea...

Re: Rank all of Nolan's films
This is always hard but will give it a try. This rank is not for my order of favorites since that would be different but rather the quality of the film as a whole. 1- The Dark Knight 2- Memento 3- The Presitge 4- Inception 5- Interstellar 6- Batman Begins 7- The Dark Knight Rises 8- Following 9- Ins...

Re: What are Interstellar's Flaws?
I agree some lines like the kid coughing and saying its the dust is a good example of Nolan spoon feeding everything to the audience. Will say its not a huge negative and I tend to give Nolan a little pass since he is creating these complex movies for a general audience. The general movie public is ...

Re: Interstellar Script Discussion
Here is a great article on the differences between the two scripts. http://www.slashfilm.com/interstellar-script-differences/ Personally, I think I would had rather seen the other version of the film. Or at the very least, some aspects of it. Liked what we got much better. Too convoluted for its ow...
