Re: Tenet NFometer
Hey ChristNolan, I haven't been around in a while but add an 8.8 to the Veteran meter please. Review was posted in other thread. Thanks. Morph my 6 into 8, please. Second viewing much much better because the local technician knows me and decided to lower the decibels so us ten in cinema can comforta...

Re: Tenet User Reviews/Reactions [Possible SPOILERS]
My short take on it. I posted this on Facebook to encourage my friends to go see it so hopefully nobody thinks there are spoilers here... 1st theatrical film experience in the “new world” and we basically had the theatre to ourselves but what better welcome back to the cinema than a Nolan thriller?!...

Re: Tenet Reviews/Reactions [Possible SPOILERS]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gXQsAea26I Stuckmann thought this was far more complex than Inception, but he ended up not caring about any of the characters Having just seen it myself earlier today, I will say I agree with pretty much his entire assessment (I generally like watching his reviews a...

Re: Dunkirk Official Reviews Discussion
So I see that Rex Reed and David Edelstein are literally the only top critics with "rotten" reviews; I'm not surprised but why are these guys so out of touch with reality? Anyway, the BFCA/Critics Choice score is at a very healthy 90 now. Also not surprised to see that climb as there was ...

Re: 'Dunkirk' Nolan Fans Member Reviews (NFometer)
As a perfectionist I always have a hard time understanding how someone can actually call something (a film no less) "perfect" . Perfection is mythic, it is unattainable, and there's always room for improvement, so I've always been a bit baffled by the 100 scores on Metacritic or 5/5, 4/4, etc star r...

Re: 'Dunkirk' Nolan Fans Member Reviews (NFometer)
I'm going to use my old rating format that I adapted from a site I found once; it involves rating from 1 to 10 in five main categories then adding up and doubling the score to get a total out of 100. Here goes... Acting- 8 I felt in some regards it was kind of like 'The Tree of Life' in the sense th...

Re: Dunkirk Official Reviews Discussion
94 on MC because of a mixed review. I don't get it . Well they posted BOTH David Edelstein and Rex Reed, go figure... Anyways I'll be seeing this in less than an hour at which point the reviews won't matter much and I can decide for myself if the review hype has been justified. Here's to a grand ci...

Re: Dunkirk Official Reviews Discussion
Oh jeez...well I figured it was just a matter of time before some of the stupid NY critics backlashed. I mean it wouldn't be a Nolan film otherwise, right? The two David's (Denby and Edelstein) are both pretty bad, but Rex Reed is the worst... It could be some consolation though that I notice...
